The World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) is an international academic organization for veterinary research. It serves as the administrative body for the Standing Committee of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association and was formally established in 1962, with its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Its main tasks include presiding over the congress, expanding connections and exchanges among veterinary societies of various countries, unifying professional techniques and theories, formulating international veterinary regulations, and raising the status of the veterinary profession. The World Small Animal Veterinary Congress (WSAVA ) will be held in China for the first time in 2024, in one of the world's fastest-growing veterinary markets. The 2024 WSAVA World Congress will be jointly hosted by two Chinese member organizations—the Beijing Small Animal Veterinary Association (BJSAVA) and the Shanghai Small Animal Veterinary Association (SHSAVA). This aims to provide a world-class continuing education opportunity for our Chinese colleagues, who will also have the chance to learn from their knowledge and experience, and who have made significant contributions to the global veterinary community.
Our global veterinary professionals will gather here. At the World Small Animal Veterinarian Congress (WSAVA), we look forward to meeting colleagues from all over the world, learning from them, sharing our knowledge, and introducing them to China's vibrant culture.
